CBD dosage is a product-design and labelling question before it is a consumer instruction. For brands, formulators and private-label teams, the goal is to make serving language match the finished format, declared CBD amount, batch documentation, packaging and destination-market requirements.

Start with the format

Oil, capsule, gummy, spray, beverage and water-soluble formats require different serving logic. Oils may be expressed per millilitre or drop; capsules and gummies require CBD per unit; drinks may require CBD per serving and per container. Do not copy dosage language from another SKU or assume that bottle strength equals one serving.

Define the serving architecture

Simple calculation example

If a 10 ml bottle contains 1,000 mg CBD, it contains approximately 100 mg CBD per ml. If a dropper delivers about 20 drops per ml, that equals approximately 5 mg CBD per drop. Drop size varies, so this is an estimate. Finished-product testing and the actual dispensing device should control the approved label wording.

Documentation behind the label

A responsible CBD dosage guide should be supported by a current COA, specification sheet, retained sample and, where relevant, finished-product testing.
